This notice describes the current Mavilo website and English beta waitlist. For privacy questions or requests, contact contact@mavilo.ch.

Joining the waitlist

When you choose to join, we save your email address, selected language interests, consent time and signup time. We use these details to manage the waitlist and email you about Mavilo’s beta. Joining does not guarantee beta access. The website confirms a saved signup on screen; it does not send an automatic confirmation email.

Waitlist records are stored in Cloudflare D1 as part of our website hosting. We do not publish the list or sell your details. We keep these records while we manage beta invitations, unless you ask us to remove them sooner.

The learning preview

The café explorer and prepared example are authored content. Viewing them does not send a question to an AI provider. Your choices in the explorer and companion gallery are not saved to a learner account.

The three-step practice uses prepared feedback and a model sentence. Your written practice answer stays in the current page; it is not sent to Mavilo or an AI provider and is not saved. Reloading or restarting the practice clears it. Feedback email links open your email app; you choose whether and what to send.

If live Claude tutoring becomes available and you press “Ask Claude”, we send your question, chosen English level, lesson context and the selected Mavilo illustration to Anthropic to generate a response. The demo does not accept personal image uploads. Avoid including personal or sensitive information in questions. Mavilo does not save questions or tutor answers in its database. Anthropic processes requests under its own API data policies.

Keeping forms reliable

To protect public forms from automated abuse, the website uses a short-lived signed form token and request limits. A keyed, one-way identifier derived from the connection’s IP address is stored with a request count and time window. Mavilo does not store the original IP address in its application database. These rate-limit entries are removed after 48 hours when requests are processed.

Cloudflare provides website hosting and may process technical connection data to deliver and protect the website. The current page does not install advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts.

Your choices

You can explore the preview without joining the waitlist. To leave the list, correct your details or request a copy of the information you submitted, email contact@mavilo.ch from your registered address. We may ask for information needed to verify the request.

Changes to this notice

As the beta develops, we may update this notice to reflect actual changes to the service. The date above shows the latest update.
